A restomod of the 1970 Chevelle SS, taken from CAD to renders to a finished car.
Trans Am Worldwide came to us with an existing Chevelle project, which our team thoroughly redesigned. The challenge was to preserve the character of the 1970 Chevelle SS while bringing modern precision, sculpture, sophistication and quality to the finished car. All of it was done over the existing OEM chassis hard points: every new surface had to fit a pre-defined structural base.
The body was designed and surfaced entirely in CAD.
Every surface was validated in realistic CG renders, in real-world lighting and settings, before a single panel was made. We value full-size hard models, but our process does not depend on them to judge design or surface quality.
The finished car, built by Trans Am Worldwide: the character of the 1970 original, resolved with modern surfacing, tight panel gaps and period-correct detailing.
